Screen Shot 2016-08-21 at 2.06.07 PMWould you like to make improvements or changes to your life? Become more fit? lose weight? save more money? see your business grow? deepen your relationships? start a new hobby or learn a new skill? When setting goals, it is helpful to envision the end result. But oftentimes, people have trouble imagining what that end result would look like.

Well, here is what I do, as a life coach, when I’m working with a client I encourage you to do the same: daydream about the life that you would like to have. That’s right, daydream. Carve out some time to imagine the life that you want to have. And picture all the details: your surroundings, your activities, and who’s there with you, what you look like, what kind of clothes do you wear, etc. etc..

In order for goals and dreams to come true, one needs to specifically envision the details. How can you get to the vision or goal if you can’t imagine it?

Some people create vision boards with torn out pictures and collage words to portray their dreams and goals. Today, you can use the cool tool Pinterest to create these vision boards by “pinning” and “repinning” images and videos from the web or your computer/device onto your own “board”.

Basically, these boards are created to be shared socially with others online, much like other social media, such as Facebook and Twitter. But I think that you can create one of these “boards” as a vision board just for yourself. Pictures are so helpful in envisioning just what it is that we want to create in our lives. And now you can have some fun with all those cool images that you see while surfing the web.

What would your vision board look like? Try to be specific in creating vision board so it reflects how it makes you feel when you look at it. Find fun and creative images to inspire you. Study your images on your boards; create some action steps to achieve your goals; and then they will eventually become part of your reality.
